Cassava Pie
Cassava or as we call it kamoteng-kahoy is one of the best root crops for Ilocano and Filipino. In fact many delicacies have been cook by our forefathers and passed unto this generations. The tradition lives on for delicacy because of this root crop and other root crop cook into a delicious snack or merienda.
Ilocanoso delicacy never fails to make us crave for more. Aside from bibingka, the fusion of this ingredient to other ingredient mold into a delicious food. Just like the delicacy made from cassava or
the cassava pie.
Ingredients
The ingredients include cassava root crops (of course),
margarine, cheese, milk and coconut milk.
Hey, this is basic because cassava delicacy always needs coconut
milk. You will also need some
ingredients like oil, sausage, beef, onion tomato sauce and cheese.
How to cook?
Cook the cassava then mash adding the margarine, grated
cheese, milk and coconut milk. In other
pan, fry the onion with other ingredients for filling and then put it in the
mashed cassava, put again some grated cheese then bake to cook.
The cassava pie really hooks you once you tasted it. Who would really care for pizza pie when you
have the cassava pie?
